Colour Rendering:
One of the obligatory necessities of visual comfort and right product exhibition is to expose product colours in their original tone. Properly exhibited and perceived in a right way colours not only enrich product exhibition, but also prevent perception confusion or failures.
Lamps can be categorized, regarding the light that they spread, into colour rendering groups. Colour rendering groups and colour rendering index value of the lamp is determined by depending on daylight as criterion. This assessment determines how much closely colours are perceived regarding their original tone.
At the Shoping / Retail Business, since the product exhibition is so important, luminaires with highly colour rendering lamps belonging to 1A/1B Group must be used. These lamps' rank in colour rendering index (Ra)value is high, determined by International Lighting Commission, and they allow us to perceive product colours most closely to their original tone.

Gravity Effect:
Metal Halide Lamps are the lamps, used for generating high level of lighting , which are frequently used in order to meet requirements of accent lighting and general lighting. In case that these lamps are used in luminaires or spots adjustable from vertical position to horizontal position; gas that is placed in burning cell of the lamp gravitates to the bottom of the burning cell due to the gravity effect. As a consequence, a colour change, from yellow to pink, occurs at the upper and bottom parts of the burning cell. When this light in different colour is reflected to surface or object desired to be enlighted, a disturbing colour passage from yellow to pink occurs at the bottom and upper sides of the surface-object. This colour change that is formed at the burning cell of the lamp, when Metal Halide Lamps are operated in a different position other than vertical, is called 'GRAVITY EFFECT'.
At the retail business, when a white dress is exhibited in a shop, light that is spread from luminaire causes false perception of the colour at the upper and the bottom sides of dress exhibited, desired white colour will not appear. At the same way, these different colours cause different parts of colours of colourful dresses or other objects to be falsely perceived.
Specially designed reflectors are used in all the luminaires with metal halide lamps designed and produced by Lamp83 ;Lamp83 reflectors specially designed in order to eliminate this failure of lamp, which have special optic design ,reflect different colours occured in horizontal position to desired area by mixing them.
Live Colours With Osram Powerball HCI-T Shoplight:
Colour rendering of Standard metal halide lamps in red colour area is low. Therefore in shops and markets' food departments where red light accent is important metal halide lamps do not provide us required result regarding product exhibition. This disadvantage that negatively effects especially lighting of food, bread, cake, dried fruits, vegetables, fruits etc.departments does not exist in 'Osram Powerball HCI-T Shoplight' lamps. Contrarily to other lamps prefered in lighting sector due to their high colour rendering in every colour, Shoplight metal halide lamp which has a high colour rendering for all colours is producing the same advantageous result for red colour also. Thus all the colours, as well as the products, can be exhibited with their live and real colours.
Most of Lamp83 luminaires with metal halide lamp have Powerball Shoplight Lamp option.
4. SECURITY
Emergency Lighting:
In places such as shopping centers and retail outlets where intense people traffic exists, emergency lighting must be installed. Emergency lighting guides clients through exits in case of any disaster such as fire, earthquake etc. and must be able to provide sufficient lighting level in order to guide people to these points.While preparing lighting project inside shop, by conforming to fire regulations, emergency lighting must be installed by taking into consideration necessary minimum lux ( lighting level measurement unit ). These lux values vary between 2 lux - 15 lux regarding lux level of places or departments. However guidance signs for emergency exit doors must be installed, emergency signs must be used at the points on the way through doors.
Lamp83 luminaires with compact fluorescent lamps, have alternatives which operate for awhile in case of any emergency and , besides, emergency signs exist in our product range.
Usage of Non-Flammable Polymery Material and Poisonous Gases:
The cause of death and poisoning during fire is the poisonous gases emerging due to burning. Therefore, polymery based materials that are used in seen or unseen parts of lighting luminaires should not emit poisonous gases when burned. All the polimery materials used in Lamp83 products have particularity of not emitting poisonous gases (halogenfree) when burned.
Colour-Fading UV Light:
Higher lighting level is mostly aimed for the products when compared to general lighting in shop lighting. Therefore, Luminaires with metal Halide lamps providing higher lighting level should be prefered at these points. Since luminaires with metal halide lamps which have relatively less unit price are inefficient, they need lamps with higher wattage when used for providing high lighting level. Especially if exhibited products paints are not sufficiently resistent and of quality, these luminaires with metal halide lamps unnecessarily with high wattage cause exhibited products paints to fade. Attention must be paid to enlighten products by using highly efficient lighting luminaires with low wattage.
Highly efficient Lamp83 luminaires can provide necessary lighting level with 35W instead of 70W.
Security Distance and IR ( Heat Radiation):
Security distance; while using spot and devices having spot particularities, minimum distance between device and surface to be enlightened is determined in meter by laboratory tests in order to assure prevention of heat formation above 90º on the enlightened surface. While preparation of lighting project and aftermath, security distance must be assured. All of Lamp83 products pass necessary laboratory tests and their security distance measurements are calculated and the results are mentioned in meter.
Explosion Danger and Tempered Protection Glasses:
Metal Halide lamps gets warmer during operating directly proportionally with high lighting level that they provide and, so heat occurs inside luminaire. There is a possibility that this heat causes metal halide lamp to explose. Therefore tempered protection glasses, resistent to heat, must be used in luminaires with metal Halide lamp. Otherwise during a metal halide explosion, a lamp's glass bursts into pieces can cause undesired accidents and results.
Tempered prevention glasses are used in all Lamp83 luminaires with metal halide lamps.
Reliable Lighting Luminaires and Wiring:
Lamp83 luminaires are safely used thanks to cables insulated with silicon, highly heat resistent and having flame delay features. Heat transmission feature of silicon keeps operating heat of cable at a low level. Especially during ignition, high electricity current which occurs in lighting luminaires puts electricity installation in jeopardy, causes undesired accidents.
Silicon insulated cables are used in Lamp83 Luminaires.
