Ecstatic dance of whirling dervishes which took place for 'Commemoration Ceremonies for Reunion Anniversary of Mevlana'
in the indoor sema hall, turned to a visual feast thanks to fiber optic lighting applied to dome of the salon. Dozans of whirling dervishes' ecstatic dance under 1182 stars installed in 13 circle in diameter of 40 mt., ensures that local and foreign visitors leave the sema hall with unforgetable memories.
Fiber-optic lighting has been projected by Lamp83 by conforming specifically to place's features and atmosphere for 'Commemoration Ceremonies for Reunion Anniversary of Mevlana' which took place in the sema hall for the first time at the end of 2004. 8 units of 150W metal halide sources were used in the lighting Project of the hall in which ecstatic dance took place on every 17 december for annual Seb-i Arus (Night of Union) ceremony.
Due to the very high ceiling of sema hall and the necessity of creating required effect, fiber cables in diameter of
2 mm. and point-gleaming star polished finishers were used. Thus, it was ensured that light which was diffused from
endlights is strong enough and was realized even from more than a height of 15m. 1182 points were used for the
application formed of 13 circles placed in a semi-circle which is in diameter of 40m. and with a depth of 7 m.

As a result of all these efforts, the indoor sema hall, hosting fascinating ecstatic dance of whirling dervishes and musicians every year, gained a lighting system which is noticeable, visually wealthy, and appropriate for its functional goal.
